Submission Requirements
We're looking for new and established romance authors to join Quill and Ivy Press! We welcome diverse voices from all backgrounds, cultures and communities. Authors must be 18 years of age or older to submit their work.

Your story should be thoroughly proofread before submitting. Well developed plots, strong conflicts and chacters, sharp dialogue, and powerful romance, HEA usually required (see individual calls for submission).

We DO NOT ACCEPT: infidelity, pedophilia, bestiality, incest, rape (non/con on a case-by-case basis, never as titillation) necrophilia, underage sex, or depraved acts. No book excerpts or previously published stories. No plagarism. No song lyrics or copywrited material. No AI content.
Please check with each individual submission call for specific target deadlines, prompt, word count range, spice level, and publication date.

Stories must be original, never before published. No simultaneous submissions. Up to 2 submissions per author per anthology are accepted. You may submit to as many anthologies as you like. Upon signing of a contract, Quill and Ivy Press will retain rights to the material for ONE YEAR from publication date, after which rights will be deferred back to the author.

Anthologies will be published on the contracted date on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited in both ebook and paperback format, and announced on our Instagram feed, Facebook Page, and newsletter. Authors will be featured on our AUTHORS page along with a headshot and short bio.
AUTHOR COMPENSATION: 30% of royalties split between all authors within the anthology for ONE YEAR from the date of publication. This is to cover the cost of cover design, editing, formatting, and marketing. Authors will also receive one free ebook copy.

Submission Guidelines
Submissions shall be submitted using our Google Form. If this is an issue, please contact us.

Form will include the following:
Name, both legal and pen name
Title of your submission
Submission word count
Title of the anthology you are submitting to
Author bio in 150 words or less
Up to 3 website or social links
A BRIEF synopsis/blurb for your short story, under 150 words.

Please format your submission as follows:
Title of your document: Anthology Name - Title - Author's Legal Name
In the upper left hand corner, list your legal name (writing as pen name if applicable), and your email
Submissions shall be submitted in Times New Roman 12 point font.
DO NOT use tabs.
DO NOT use chapters. If necessary, separate scenes using (#)
File Types - (.doc) and (.docx) only.

Submissions close at midnight on the specified date in Eastern Standard Time (EST). If an anthology does not garner enough submissions, the submission deadline will be extended and the extension will be announced on social media and in our newsletter.
​
Responses to submissions will be sent no later than four weeks after the submission call has closed. We respond to every submission. Please feel free to email us if you have not heard back after two weeks, and make sure to check your spam folder and add Quill and Ivy Press to your contacts.
